Montero八局下轟天一擊，轟出滿貫砲，這是大聯盟史上第3支的代打滿貫全壘打，隨後Dexter Fowler再轟陽春彈，徹底擊垮道奇隊。
此戰，道奇隊由前田健太先發，1局下就被小熊隊Dexter Fowler、Kris Bryant連續安打失掉1分。2局下小熊隊Jason Heyward一上場就擊出三壘打，Javier Baez再打出二壘打，送Heyward回本壘攻下第2分，接下來前田健太投出暴投，Baez再成功地盜回本壘，添得第3分。

Tillman因右肩不適，8月底進入了傷兵名單，今天他復出對決老虎隊王牌投手Justin Verlander，表現相當精采，先發6局僅在5局下被Ian Kinsler適時敲出失掉1分，Brad Brach投第7局，Mychal Givens投第8局，Zach Britton投第9局都沒失分，Britton本季第41次救援成功。
